Everybody should have a good Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) in the house, the car, and anywhere they spend time, do work, or engage in activity that could result in injury. That said, it can be tough to know what to put in your IFAK so that you’ll be covered regardless of what comes your way. What to Put in Your IFAK Medical Kit
These are basic trauma equipment used by military medical personnel, and if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for you.
Fox Eye Shield
Cover, protect, and allow air to reach an injured eye.
HyFin Chest Seal
Close penetrating chest wounds.
Tourniquet
Stop bleeding, secure bandages and other emergency medical gear.
Medical Tape
Secure bandages, and other medical gear, and stop bleeding.
Combat Gauze
Secure bandages, and other medical gear, and stop bleeding.
NPA
This is inserted into the airway when it has been damaged or obstructed to maintain airway integrity.
NCD
This is used to depressurize a chest cavity in cases when compartment syndrome or swelling threatens other organs.
Permanent Marker
Label who you have treated and what you have done.
